The 12th Annual Roundhay Run for Fun on Saturday 24 June, attracted more than 1,300 visitors including schoolchildren from 11 different North Leeds’ schools, as well their parents, carers, friends and family.
The event, which was hosted by Preston Baker, is an opportunity for schoolchildren of all abilities to take part in either a 1k or 5k run around Roundhay Park in Leeds. The run promotes physical and emotional well-being for schoolchildren, many of whom enter with their parents or carers. It is also a fantastic opportunity for schools in the local area to raise money, while having fun – each school receives around £500 in sponsorship money.
Robinson Developments was proud to sponsor the event alongside Blacks Solicitors and Yorkshire Water. The run was also supported by Sikh Sport UK, Leeds Rhinos and the Co-op Supermarket.
John Robinson, Director of Robinson Developments, said:
“This year’s event attracted more participants than ever before. It is fantastic to see people from the local community coming together to take part in such a worthy and local cause. The schools look forward to the run, which is now becoming a fixed event in their annual calendars.”
Robinson Developments is currently building new family homes in the Roundhay area at Gledhow Gardens. The new residential project is in a private gated area in Chapel Allerton. The scheme comprises two bespoke properties including the refurbishment of an original 1950s-red brick building to create a four-bedroom house, and the development of a modern new build home. Both properties are designed to meet the needs of the modern family with spacious open plan living accommodation, gardens and private parking facilities.
